About the Product
The biggest change is the move from the previous ash-heavy core to a lighter and more flexible Poplar Core with an Ash Binding Insert. The ash reinforcement underfoot provides additional stability and a solid platform for the bindings, while the poplar construction makes the ski easier to move around. At approximately 2025 g in the 180 cm length, the ARV 106 still maintains enough mass for a planted feel without being as heavy as its predecessor.
Armada's w3dgewall construction integrates the sidewalls into the ski's core during the molding process, creating a cohesive construction designed to improve durability and snow feel. 2.5 mm Impact Edges add further durability for freestyle skiing and demanding terrain. Its twin-tip shape, generous rocker, and camber underfoot provide a versatile combination of flotation, maneuverability, energy, and edge grip.
With a 106 mm waist and a roughly 20-meter turn radius in the 180 cm length, the ARV 106 is particularly comfortable in powder, trees, bumps, steeps, and other soft-snow terrain while remaining capable on firmer snow. It is best suited to advanced and expert freeride skiers looking for a strong, playful twin that can charge and get creative within the same run.
