Ski length, waist width and turning radius

Your height, weight, ability level and chosen model all help determine the right ski length. Waist width, measured under the boot, also affects how a ski handles. A narrower waist generally allows quicker edge changes, while a wider waist provides more flotation in deep snow.

The stated turning radius offers a guide to the turns a ski favours: generally tighter turns with a smaller radius and wider arcs with a larger radius.
