As a snow safety tool, the AvaLung allows the user to be able to breathe during an avalanche. It acts as an artificial air pocket, drawing air from the surrounding snowpack, it can add precious minutes while a search is being conducted.

It doesn't require tools to attach, so it's easy to remove when you're not using it on a skiing trip.
